In the meantime, I've put together some helpful tips to assist your pieces in standing the test of time.

GENERAL CARE AND KEEPING

Remove jewellery when bathing, exercising, sleeping, or cleaning. Always avoid excess moisture, and remember to store your pieces properly in an airtight container when you aren't wearing them. It is normal for metal to oxidise (or change colour) with time and exposure to the elements, but contact with liquid or other substances can accelerate this process.

STERLING SILVER

It's advisable to avoid leaving your jewellery, especially sterling silver pieces, exposed to air for extended periods, as this can lead to the development of tarnish. Tarnishing is a natural process that causes a change in the colour of silver and other precious metals, occurring over time due to exposure to factors like perspiration, skin acids, oils, cosmetics, and hydrogen sulphide gas present in the air.

To prevent tarnish, it's essential to regularly clean your jewellery using a soft cloth. After wearing each piece, we recommend a swift cleaning before storing it.

To preserve the aesthetic appeal of your jewellery, store it in the provided soft pouch when not in use.

RECYCLED BRASS

All jewellery made in brass holds wear and can hold its lustre for years with appropriate care.

tatah's recycled brass is hand-coated with a durable transparent seal that protects the material from salt damage, tarnishing, corrosion and oxidation. The seal can be maintained and depending on your care the metal will continue to look beautiful and most importantly, last longer.

Different people have varying reactions to this type of metal. It is a chemical reaction to your particular skin, lotions, moisture (even sweat!) and/or other environmental factors.

To slow down the tarnishing of you brass jewellery, keep your brass pieces away from moisture, and store them properly in an airtight container when you aren't wearing them.

GEMSTONES

All of our gemstones are high-quality natural or lab created, they can be delicate and broken if not cared for correctly.

If you notice any looseness refrain from wearing the piece until it can be tightened.

PEARLS

Wipe with a soft cotton cloth. Avoid exposure to moisture. Pearls are very soft and can be subject to scratching. We highly recommend putting on pearls after applying hairspray, perfume, or other cosmetics, as they are especially sensitive to chemical contact.
